Steve Drada Jr - Firefighter
Steve Jr joined the Butler Fire Department in December of 2019 following in the Footsteps of his Father, Steve Sr and his Brother Tom Smith. He has been an Active Member for the last 2 years and has recently completed the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety Firefighter 1 Training Course and is now a Qualified Interior Firefighter for our Department. FF Drada Jr now joins the ranks of our SCBA Firefighters and will work with our crews on our scenes. Steve Jr was born in Denville and has grown up in Butler and is a 2020 Graduate of the Morris County School of Technology. Steve Jr has made the decision and has Enlisted in the United States Army and will be shipping out for Basic Training atthe end of December. He is looking forward to his time in the Army and Serving our Nation. |

FF Drada Jr is part of a Firefighting Family and stands side by side with his father, Steve Drada Sr who has spent time as a Captain on our Department as well as his Brother, Tom Smith who is an Active Firefighter. Both of these members are big reasons why Steve Jr joined our Department. His mother Lisa has also been a Long Time Member of our Ladies Auxiliary.
Along with the desire to serve, Steve wanted to be part of an Organization that helps to Protect his Friends, Family and all of the Members of our Great Community. Steve Jr says that he truly loves being a Firefighter because he enjoys the Energy, Excitement and Education provided by being a Member of our Department.
Following his Service with the Army, if his travels find Steve back in the Borough of Butler, he plans to continue to be an Active Member.
We are privileged to have had Steve Jr as a member for the last 2 years and would like to thank him for the Service he is about to give to our Nation! We wish him the Best of Luck and Safety during his time in the United States Army!
