Bob Carola - Lieutenant

Kinney Hose - Engine 341

Bob  joined the Butler Fire Department in 2016 and is currently in his 3rd Year of Active Service with Butler and 22 Years in the Fire Service.  Prior to being a Member in Butler, Bob began his career in the Fire Service with Bloomingdale Fire in 1997 before moving to Wayne in 2000 and joining Wayne Fire Company 3.  Bob was born in Passaic, but was raised in Bloomingdale and was a 1981 graduate of Butler High School.   As a member of our Department, he has ascended to the rank of Lieutenant of the Kinney Hose Company, Engine 341.

Bob also spent several years helping coach Wayne PAL Teams that his sons were on.

Since 2007, Bob spends his days working as a Site Supervisor for a Private Security Firm.  Prior to that, he had been working in Security at the Meadowlands

since 1992 and became a Level Supervisor at MetLife Stadium in 2017.  This involves providing security to all events at the Stadium including anything from sporting events to concerts and truly enjoys doing that.

Bob has been Happily married to his wife, Jackie, for nearly thirty years.  The pair has three sons and even fostered a fourth for several years.  When asked why Bob joined, he said that he always wanted to give back to whatever Community he was living in and help others in there time of need.

When asked why he continues to respond after 22 years, Bob responded that he loved volunteering and helping others.  He also truly loves the Camaraderie and Brotherhood of being in the Fire Service which is why he has continued to serve through several moves in his life.

We thank Bob for his Dedicated Service since 1997 and 2016 for Butler and look forward to working with him for years to come!  We are lucky to have Bob and very glad that time has found him living in Butler!

Until our next installment, Stay Safe!
