Chief Vehicles

Command 346 and Command 340 are Dodge Durangos.  The vehicles are operated by the Chief of Department and Assistant Chief respectively.  The Chiefs respond with these vehicles directly to the scene.

Engine 341

Engine 341 is one of two 1996 E-One Cyclone Engines currently, operated out of the Carey Avenue Firehouse.

Rescue-Engine 344 is a 2010 KME Predator Rescue Engine, currently operated out of the Carey Avenue Firehouse.

Fire Police 349

The Fire Police currently a 2018 Ford Explorer.  349 is operated by the Fire Police Chief and handles much of the traffic control for Emergency Calls.

Utility 345 is currently a Mitsubishi Cab-Over truck with an enclosed utility bed, that is Currently Operated out of the Carey Avenue Firehouse.

Retired - Tower 343

Retired Tower 343 is a 1991 Sutphen 95' Aerial Tower that was put out of Service in June of 2019 in preparation of the delivery of its replacement, a 2019 Piece Ascendant 110.  Retired 343 is currently serving a Department in Western Pennsylvania.

The Butler Volunteer Fire Department

The Butler Volunteer Fire Department is an organization that has proudly been serving the Borough of Butler since 1902.  We operate out of two firehouses.  Our membership is highly trained and skilled to help the members of our community in their time of need.  Our goal is to provide the help and support that you may need at any time as well as to support the community in various events throughout the year.
